English Abstract

The significant integration of PV energy into the distribution network has emerged as a significant challenge due to its detrimental effect on stable operation, resulting in severe voltage limit violation within the power grid. To tackle this challenge, this paper proposes a distributed voltage regulation strategy that employs a novel rigid consensus method for smart PV inverters. The proposed control strategy treats individual PV inverters as intelligent agents and establishes a multi-agent rigid consensus framework. By utilizing this framework, efficient convergence during the multi-agent consensus process is guaranteed. The algorithm is tested using real-world data, and the simulation results demonstrate its efficacy in achieving rapid convergence and resolving voltage issues. Consequently, the developed strategy holds promise for deployment in highpenetration, low-voltage PV distribution networks to effectively mitigate voltage challenges.
