English Abstract
This paper proposes a high efficiency active switched-inductor based power converter for high step-up applications. This converter possesses a great voltage ratio, low voltage stress and high efficiency. It benefits from a transformer in its low current side to foster the voltage gain with minimum winding losses. The leakage inductance of transformer provides zero current turn-on for switches and zero current turn-off for diodes. Hence, switching losses have reduced considerably and the reverse recovery problem of diodes is eliminated. In the proposed topology, voltage and current stress of switches are reduced. As a result, conduction loss of switches has diminished. A two-stage clamp circuit is adopted that not only shrinks the voltage spikes of the switches, but also takes part in the gain development effectively. Theoretical analysis and a detailed comparison between the proposed converter and its counterparts are presented. Experimental validation is carried out by implementation of a 200 W prototype with 30 V input and 420 V output, which confirms the theoretical analysis.
