English Abstract

To address the challenge of complex modulations of traditional dual-frequency wireless power transfer (WPT) systems and enable independent output adjustment, a novel dual-frequency dual-type-output (DF-DTO) WPT configuration is introduced in this article. In this configuration, the inductor of a power converter is replaced by a transmitter coil. In addition, a sinusoidal signal is superposed on the control signal of the converter, resulting in current generated in the transmitter coil comprising both switching frequency and sinusoidal frequency components. This method achieves dual-frequency modulation and eliminates the transmitter-side circuit in the WPT system, resulting in lower cost and size. Moreover, the DF-DTO controller is presented to enable individual adjustment for each output by adjusting the duty cycle, the switching frequency, and the amplitude of the sinusoidal signal. The theoretical basis and experimental prototype results are provided to illustrate and validate the presented DF-DTO configuration and corresponding control method.
