English Abstract
This work presents a family of non-isolated high step-up dc-dc converters based on the three-state switching cell (3SSC) and coupled inductors. Unlike traditional interleaved topologies, the derived configurations have inherent current sharing capabilities due to the 3SSC’s autotransformer. The coupled inductor extends the voltage gain without requiring high duty ratios, while a clamping circuit recycles part of the energy stored in the leakage inductance without significantly increasing the voltage stress on the switches or the component count. A dc-dc boost converter is thoroughly analyzed, and an experimental prototype rated at 48 V/400 V, 50 kHz, and 1 kW is tested to validate the theoretical claims while reaching an efficiency of 97.18% at the rated power.
